My History
My name is Phillip Cafarella, the owner, manager and chief bottle washer of Equine Haven and I have
been involved with horses for over 30 years.
I guess I was destined to be involved with horses as Phillip actually means 'lover of horses'.
I started riding horses seriously in my early teens and have basically never stopped. I have competed very sucessfully
up to Advanced level eventing, Medium level dressage and C Grade show jumping, although have trained my current horse
to Grand Prix level dressage movements. I haven't actually competed for a number of years now, preferring to simply ride
to a high standard for my own enjoyment.
I have worked in a top level eventing yard in the UK and have travelled to quite a few areas of this wonderful
world we live in, in an effort to learn as much as possible about management of top class performance horses.
I also strive to constantly keep abreast of the latest research in horse management across the globe.
I am very passionate about everything I do, I strive to do my absolute best and set very high standards for myself.
My aim in providing quality racehorse spelling, is to send your horse back to the trainer in as good a shape, both
physically and mentally, as I can possibly do in the short time they are with me. I want them to be going back to
the trainer refreshed and strong to embark on their next campaign, so you as the owner/s or trainer, can get the
most enjoyment and success out of your horse as possible.
